Visa Recommendatory Letters
Overview
The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry issues Visa Recommendatory Letters in favor of foreign Embassies, High Commissions, and Consulates in Pakistan, to support the visa applications of its members.
How to Get the Visa Recommendatory Letter
Any member of SCCI (Proprietor, Partner, or Director) may file an application. Managers applying for the letter are required to submit additional documents, listed further below.
Submit a request letter on your firm’s own letterhead, signed by the Authorized Representative in the Chamber.
Take a printout on A4 size paper in black & white. Don’t make any amendment or modification to the form, and fill it in capital letters only.
Submit two duly filled copies of the Undertaking Form, along with the supporting documents listed below.
- Copy of National Identity Card, with original
- Copy of Passport, with original
- If passport changed, photocopy of new passport containing endorsement of the previous passport
- Export performance of current/last financial or calendar year, duly attested by the Bank
- Bank Confidential Report (mentioning all partners as per Chamber record)
- Invitation from the foreign customer
Note: The office bearers of the Chamber may interview any applicant, if they so desire, while considering the application, and may call for additional supporting documents.
The President and office bearers are authorized by the Executive Committee to meet the genuine needs of member firms. However, they shall exercise discretion and take necessary measures so that this facility is not misused in any way, and the image of the Chamber is not thereby spoiled.
Additional Requirements for Managers
- Bank Guarantee showing that the Manager is also operating the bank account on behalf of the firm/company for the last one year
- Proof of National Tax Number (NTN) that he is paying Income Tax
- Service Certificate with monthly drawing salary
- The Undertaking Form should be signed by the firm’s authorized representative in the Chamber
- Signature of the firm’s authorized representative on the request letter, as well as on the undertaking, must be verified from the Chamber’s record
Applications for Visa Recommendatory Letters of Managers are always put up before the Senior Vice President / Visa Committee for final decision.
Chamber’s Fee
Once the application for the issuance of a Visa Recommendatory Letter is approved, members are required to deposit the following fee.
