October 24, 2026: The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), in collaboration with NADRA Technologies Limited (NTL), inaugurated the NADRA e-Sahulat Biometric Facility at the Chamber to facilitate its members. The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Muhammad Raheem Awan, Member NADRA Authority Board, and Guest of Honour Mr. Muhammad Umar Khan Azad, Chief Executive Officer, NTL, in the presence of SCCI President Mr. Khawar Hussain Spall, Senior Vice President Mr. Asad Naseer Malik, Vice President Chaudhry Jahangir Rashid and members of the SCCI Executive Committee. The facility will provide biometric verification for FBR, Pakistan Single Window, proof-of-life certificates, CNIC-related services, court-related matters and vehicle ownership transfers, along with other general biometric services. It will also facilitate payments of utility bills, arms licence fees and vehicle token tax through 1Bill

Visit of Mr. Faisal Ayub Khokhar, Provincial Minister for Energy, Sports & Youth Affairs, to Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) – October 23, 2026 Mr. Faisal Ayub Khokhar, Provincial Minister for Energy, Sports & Youth Affairs, visited the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) on October 23, 2026. During the meeting, it was agreed to constitute a committee comprising SCCI members and relevant sports officials of the Punjab Government in Sialkot to promote sports activities and explore opportunities for collaborative initiatives. After witnessing the excellent quality and international standards of sports goods manufactured in Sialkot, the Honorable Minister expressed his commitment to prioritizing the procurement of sports goods from Sialkot for various sports events, recognizing the city’s position as a globally renowned hub of sports goods manufacturing. The SCCI also proposed a Waste-to-Energy Project to promote sustainable waste management and energy generation. The Minister agreed to forward the proposal to the relevant authorities for further consideration and to explore the possibilities of implementation. Furthermore, the Chamber requested a reduction in peak-hour electricity tariffs to provide relief to the business community, reduce industrial operating costs, and enhance the competitiveness of Sialkot’s export-oriented industries.

SCCI Organizes Awareness Session on SECP’s eZfile System Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) organized an awareness session on “SECP’s Online Filing of Statutory Returns under the eZfile System” on October 23, 2026. The session was chaired by Mr. Asad Naseer Malik, Senior Vice President, SCCI, and featured Mr. Shahbaz Sarwar, Registrar, Joint Stock Companies, CRO Lahore, along with SECP officials Ms. Filza Siddiqui and Ms. Zoha Khalid. The session provided practical guidance on online statutory filings and addressed members’ concerns regarding compliance procedures, filing requirements, and technical issues. The session was organized by Mr. Sheikh Zahid Hameed, former Executive Committee Member of SCCI, to encourage and empower young girls. The SCCI delegation was received by Sister Catherine Maria, Principal CJM, and Sister Grace. On October 22, 2026, Chaudhry Jahangir Rashid, Vice President, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and Mr. Tariq Hussain participated in the 1st meeting of the Trade Facilitation Committee (TFC) under the chairmanship of Mr. Syed Shakeel Shah, Member Customs (Operations), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), at Islamabad. The meeting was convened to deliberate on key trade facilitation matters, address procedural and regulatory bottlenecks, and improve the efficiency of Pakistan’s trade and logistics systems. During the meeting, Sialkot Chamber emphasized the need to streamline customs clearance and examination procedures, expedite approvals and reconciliation under the Export Facilitation Scheme (EFS), and improve the efficiency of dry-port operations. The Sialkot Chamber also urged the early implementation of the PSW Consolidation Module for LCL consignments and the EPZ LCL Consignment Module for SICTL, SDPT and EPZ, along with establishing an effective mechanism for the inter-terminal transfer of bonded cargo from upcountry locations through Pakistan Railways. This Chamber stressed that addressing these issues through coordinated action, digitization and simplified procedures would reduce logistics costs, facilitate exporters and enhance Pakistan’s international trade competitiveness.
