On July 06, 2026, For the first time in Sialkot's history, the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) brought together all universities of District Sialkot through their ORICs, the National Productivity Organization (NPO), and industry under a unified framework to strengthen industry–academia collaboration and drive innovation for Sialkot's export manufacturing ecosystem. The initiative, led by President SCCI Syed Ahtesham Mazhar and executed through the SCCI Departmental Committee on Research Management for Sustainable Development headed by Dr. Raza Ullah Shah, was joined by Government College Women University Sialkot represented by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shazia Bashir; University of Management & Technology, Sialkot Campus represented by Dr. Ali Abdullah, Convener ORIC; University of Sialkot represented by Professor Dr. Pervez Anwar, Director ORIC; Grand Asian University Sialkot represented by Professor Dr. Muhammad Sharif Bhatti, Dean Engineering & Technology; and the National Productivity Organization represented by its Chief Executive Officer Mr. Alamgir Chaudhry. The partnership will establish an Industrial Challenges Data Bank, promote industry-led research, technology transfer, productivity programmes, laboratory upgradation, and innovation-driven collaboration, laying the foundation for a smarter, more competitive, and sustainable export ecosystem for Sialkot.
